The UMKC School of Medicine is renowned for delivering high-quality medical education. With its signature six-year B.A.–M.D. program, a range of other academic degrees, and diverse residency and fellowship options, it stands as one of the premier medical institutions in the region — yet you’d never know it from their website.

As project manager and senior editor, I led the migration of a website containing over 1,000 pages of content. This involved consulting with more than 30 groups to understand their content needs and ensure alignment with leadership’s broader goals. Over the course of a year, we streamlined the site’s structure, enhanced the school’s ability to promote its unique offerings, greatly improved the clarity and image of the institution, and delivered a final product that satisfied a wide array of stakeholders.
