University of Missouri-Kansas City | Office of the Provost Website
The provost is the chief academic officer of the university, overseeing a range of departments crucial to the success of the institution. As such, they needed a website that quickly communicated a wide variety of information geared to different audiences — faculty and students chief among them. My team and I were tasked with overhauling the existing website, which was outdated and difficult to navigate.
As project manager and senior editor on the project, I led content strategy, site organization, and project coordination ensuring that established goals were met on deadline. Our team worked with the Provost and key stakeholders from Academic Affairs, Faculty Affairs, Student Success, the Academic Units, and Marketing and Communications to deliver a website that speaks in plain language and allows visitors to quickly find what they’re looking for. Since launch, user reviews have been positive and site analytics show a much-improved user experience.
